In a first in India, EdTech platform DIYguru has partnered with Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) to launch India’s first M.Tech program in Electric Vehicle (EV). *The program is designed in such a way that if a student decides to leave the two-year M.Tech Program midway, the one-year course credit will be converted to an equivalent PG Degree. The course will address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the burgeoning EV sector, aligning perfectly with the UGC’s call for a balanced 50:50 research and coursework model.
“Empowering the next generation of engineers and technologists with the mission to upskill a million students by 2025 is our core objective,” stated Avinash Singh, CEO of DIYguru.
The programs go beyond textbook learning, offering a 50% focus on practical, hardware-enabled training. The program Hardware KITs has been developed in collaboration with IIT Delhi’s CART, IIT Incubated Tadpole Projects, and EVI Technologies. These labs provide a simulated real-world learning environment with over 35 EV workshops integrated into the curriculum, the platform said.
The course has received inputs from subject matter experts from L&T and recognized by ASDC and NEAT AICTE as the certification partner, it added.
